Thank you everyone! Thank you so much for all the wonderful notes and messages, articles and posts, likes and shares, comments and tweets. Last but not the least, thank you for introducing my dad to the term "viral". The last time he used the term was when I had "viral fever."
As some of you know, I was in four different cities in last one week, taking care of work, meeting with more people, addressing more students, DexConnecting more state governments and working harder each day to ensure "a platform for every child." Due to a tight schedule, I couldn't personally get back to each one of you but I promise I will. I did not get a chance to celebrate the White House invite either but I hope to when I'm finally there in ten day's time.
To say the least, I am humbled beyond measure. But, I want to add that what lies ahead of us is more important than this piece of news or any number of awards or celebrations. We need to stay together and work together and fight together to accomplish the task ahead. We need to and we must create a platform for every child, no matter who they are or where they come from.
We need to stand up for our children and let them know, they can follow their interests and passions without any fear or constraints. We need to offer them all the love and support they need in making their dreams come true. I am honored and emotional. Thank you!
I will always remember the love and support that you extended to me in the last one week. And, I hope you'll never forget to extend the same to the kids who I work with. And, I have no doubts that if we stand up well enough for our children, our children will never let us down.
Thank you everyone! Thank you!
